We wanted to know what the most played games actually have in common, so we read Roblox's public charts 2 times on 27 October 2026 and averaged the live player count for each of the 343 games that showed up. Below is the top 100, a finder to filter it, and a generator for the naming style that keeps topping the chart.

Steal An Egg is in a league of its own. It was created on 25 July and has already passed 9.6 billion visits. On its own it had 21.9% of every player in the top 100.

New games took over
The biggest surprise in the data is how young the chart is. 46 of the 100 most played games were created this year, and between them they had 45.6% of the players. Add the 12 games from 2025 and games under two years old make up 56.7% of all play in the top 100. The median game in the top 100 was 468 days old.
It's even more striking across the wider charts. Of the 343 games that appeared on any of Roblox's five main charts that day, 198 were created in 2026.
The old guard hasn't gone anywhere, though. Murder Mystery 2 (2014), Adopt Me! (2017), Blox Fruits (2019) and Bee Swarm Simulator (2018) are all still in the top 30. Only 10 of the top 100 were created before 2020, but those that survived are some of the biggest games on the platform.
Steal, eggs and +1: the naming trends
Roblox hits spawn followers fast, and you can see it in the titles.
- Steal. 4 games in the top 100 have "steal" in the name, including Steal An Egg, Steal a Brainrot, Break and Steal an Egg. They hold 29.5% of all players. Across all 343 chart games we counted 11.
- Eggs. Alongside Steal An Egg, egg games are everywhere: 5 in the top 100, from Break and Steal an Egg to Fake an Egg.
- +1 games. Titles like "+1 Speed Keyboard Escape" promise a number that only goes up. We counted 15 "+1" games across the charts.
- Tags in brackets. Most top games put the latest update in the title, like [UPD], [X2 EXP] or a pumpkin for Halloween. 46 of the top 100 had a Halloween tag in the run-up to 31 October.

What genres people play
Simulation games had 50.2% of all players across the top 100, from 40 games. That covers a lot of ground on Roblox: tycoons, pet collectors, fishing games, and the stealing games above. Survival came second with 16.4%, which covers games like Murder Mystery 2, 99 Nights in the Forest and Evade. Roleplay & Avatar Sim, home of Brookhaven RP and Adopt Me!, had 11.7%.
Shooters and fighting games get a lot of attention online, but they're a smaller slice of what people play. Action games had 5.5% of players and Shooter games 2.8%.
A note for parents
Every game on Roblox carries a maturity label. In the top 100, 63 games were labelled Minimal, 34 Mild and 3 Moderate. The labels describe the content, such as violence or fear, so a Mild game can still be scary for a young child. The finder above can limit results to Minimal or Mild games, and Roblox's parental controls can set the same limit on a child's account.
How we collected the data
On 27 October 2026 we read Roblox's public charts 2 times: Top Playing Now, Top Trending, Up-and-Coming, Fun with Friends and Top Revisited. For every game on any of them we recorded the live player count, votes, visits, genre, creation date and maturity label from Roblox's public game data, then averaged the player count across all the snapshots and ranked the top 100. The window was 2 snapshots taken between 05:27 and 05:49 UTC on 27 October 2026.
Player counts swing with time of day and events, so treat the ranks as a picture of one day, not a permanent order. You can see the live version on Roblox's own charts page. We're a gaming blog, not affiliated with Roblox, and we didn't play-test every game on the list.
